Pittsburgh Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the most iconic NFL teams in the country. With a rich history dating back to 1933, the Steelers have won five Super Bowls and fourteen division titles.
The team is led by head coach Mike Tomlin and features a storied roster including stars such as quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, running back Le’Veon Bell, linebacker James Harrison, and safeties Troy Polamalu and Ryan Shazier. The Steelers play their home games at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh.
Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers are a professional American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Packers compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference (AFC) North division. The Packers were founded in 1919 by Curly Lambeau and George Whitney Calhoun, and play their home games at Lambeau Field.
The Packers are one of the most successful NFL teams of all time, having won more than 50 league championships – most recently in 2011 – and eight Super Bowls, most recently in 2013. They have also won four NFC Championship Games, six NFC Divisional Titles, 362 regular-season games, and 14 postseason games. The franchise has had two head coaches who have led them to the playoffs six times: Vince Lombardi (1961–1968), Bart Starr (1969–1975), Mike Holmgren (1996–1998), Brett Favre (1999–2007), and Aaron Rodgers (2008-present).
New England Patriots
The New England Patriots are arguably the best NFL team in California. They have won eight division titles and five Super Bowls, making them one of the most successful teams in the league. The Patriots are led by head coach Bill Belichick, who has won three Super Bowls as a player and coach. Other key players on the Patriots include quarterback Tom Brady, running back Dion Lewis, wide receiver Julian Edelman, and tight end Rob Gronkowski. The Patriots are always a tough opponent to beat, and their fan base is among the most passionate in the NFL. The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the NFL’s most successful franchises, having won more division titles and playoff games than any other team. The Chiefs have also made it to the Super Bowl twice, but they have yet to win a championship. However, they are currently in contention for a third title this season. Led by quarterback Alex Smith, who has thrown for over 4,000 yards and 27 touchdowns this season, the Chiefs are one of the top teams in the league.
Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders are a professional American football team located in Oakland, California. The Raiders compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member club of the league’s American Football Conference West division. The Raiders were founded in 1960 as a member club of the American Football League (AFL). The team played its first season in 1960 as the San Francisco Raiders before moving to Oakland and becoming the Oakland Raiders.
The Raiders began play in 1960 as members of the AFL and joined the NFL in 1970. Since their inception, the Raiders have made five appearances in the league championship game, winning once, in 1982. From 1966 to 2002, they appeared in four consecutive AFC Championship games but failed to win one title. In 1995, they reached their first Super Bowl and defeated the Green Bay Packers 31–19. The following year, they reached their second Super Bowl and lost to the Clinton Washington Patriots 43–8. In 2001, they reached their third Super Bowl and defeated the New England Patriots 27–23. The team has since failed to make it back to another Super Bowl tournament.
As of 2018, they have an all-time regular season record of 594 wins and 479 losses (.537), with 43 victories coming against playoff teams (.737).
